Josh (Coach)

Interests:

First and foremost I’m a family man, I love spending time with and adore my wife and 2 daughters. I love to travel and experience plenty of different cultures when I can, fitness is a massive passion of mine, trying to stay fit and health is so important to me and helping others do the same brings me a lot of satisfaction and pride!

Strengths:

My strengths lay in my people skills, energy and attention to detail. When coaching or personal training I will do my utmost to make sure the clients have a great time and get an awesome workout in all the while being as safe and efficient as possible. Always smiling and enjoying what we do.

Words of encouragement:

The workouts you don’t feel like doing are always worth two! your journey is your journey and no one else’s. Just making that step to lift that barbell, jump on a treadmill or go for that run is the first steps to greatness, with hard work, determination and lots of laughs along the way we can create something amazing.

Sam Kane (Proactive Coordinator & Coach)

Interests:

I have been training since I was around 13 and working within the fitness industry on and off for the last 12 years. My passion is helping people, inside and outside of the gym. I love watching people progress and get stronger and more confident. When I’m not at the gym you can find me out in nature, hiking, trail running, surfing, climbing or at home gaming and relaxing with friends. My preferred training method is CrossFit. I adore the mixture of technical weightlifting movements and all out functional fitness, and I incorporate this into most of my workouts.

Strengths:

Although I am very passionate and serious about fitness I am never one to take life too seriously. The gym environment should be a fun and enjoyable place and I pride myself in my ability to have a laugh and make fitness fun. I can find a way to communicate with everyone I work with to get the best results from them & I am a great motivator, never lacking in the energy department.

Words of encouragement:

The only workout you regret is the one you didn’t do. Some workouts may be tougher than others, some days may be tougher than others. The hardest part is showing up. Once you’re here, the fun can begin! Don’t compare yourself to others, the only person you are in competition with… is you!
